US property market 'picking up'

The US property market is beginning to pick up, with many convinced that the tide is turning, a property expert has claimed.
Liz Rowlinson, editor of A Place in the Sun Magazine, said that although the US isn’t without its problems – the property market has slightly slowed down – there is a “feeling” that people are becoming more confident about buying a home.
Professionals moving overseas to the US with work will be pleased to hear that there are a considerable number of properties available throughout the country, especially if they have a budget of around £100,000.
“I don’t think anything too drastic is going to happen in the next month, but I just think that things are beginning to pick up in certain areas,” Ms Rowlinson went on explain.
“I am hearing a lot of people are buying in Miami, for example. That was quite a badly hit area, but there are loads of South Americans, Colombians and Brazilians buying in Miami at the moment and that is driving that market.”
Her comments come on the back of analysis from the Pacific Investment Management Co (Pimco), which stated that the US is exhibiting signs of improvement in its property market.
