Singapore offers novel parking solution

Wealthy professionals moving to Singapore who are looking for something novel to add to their way of living can invest in luxury apartments that offer them en-suite sky-high parking for their cars.
KOP Properties are the brains behind this new development, which effectively makes its possible for owners to park their cars next door to their living room, even if it is at the top of one of the city’s many sky-high apartment blocks.
The so-called “Sky Garage Apartments”, located near the upscale Orchard Road area, has one normal lift for residents, and a special lift for vehicles.
It’s a unique solution to the problem of parking in Singapore, which is one of the busiest cities in the world.
It has to be said that this service – and original way of living – is aimed at individuals who are extremely wealthy, with prices for one of the 56 apartments ranging from £5 million to £15 million.
“These buyers are very discerning, they have seen a lot,” Leny Suparman, co-founder and chief executive of KOP Properties told Reuters. “They are well exposed in the world, so they are looking for something that is unique and different.”
