Cadogan Tate works with designers, architects, auction houses, galleries, dealers and private collectors shipping a wide range of items around the world every day. We offer a reliable and efficient service with the certainty of safe, secure delivery. Our expertise in worldwide customs regulations and procedures applicable to the relocation and transportation of valuable furnishing, artworks and decorative objects means that Cadogan Tate can both advise you and ensure that your shipment has all the required documentation.
Packing & Case Fabrication
We have a huge array of packing options available to us, including a wide range of bespoke packing cases to meet individual needs and requirements. Our experts assess each piece according to several criteria, including its nature, condition, and the planned mode of transport, before selecting the most appropriate packing solution.
We maintain our own fleet of fully equipped vehicles, customized especially for the transportation of artwork, furniture and decorative objects by road. These are manned by security-cleared driver/technicians, expertly trained in handling. Our road fleet also includes vehicles devoid of all Cadogan Tate branding for use in situations in which discretion is of particular concern.
We offer regular interstate fine art shuttle services covering most of the continental United States. For schedules and route information click here: US Shuttle Schedule – Cadogan Tate.
For shipments that need to be completed quickly and conveniently, Air Freight is the most efficient option. Cadogan Tate has relationships throughout the world making it easy to send your precious cargo from point A to point B.
Sea Freight offers an efficient and cost-effective transport option for moving complete collections for large interiors projects, as well as for moving particularly large or unwieldy individual items of furniture or pieces of sculpture. Sea Freight is appropriate when longer transit times are acceptable.
In 2019 the renowned artist Gary Hume requested that we transport 31 of his paintings and sculptures via container ship rather than plane. The process took longer, but the result was a move with a carbon footprint 96% lower than it would have been via Air Freight. Sustainability is important to Cadogan Tate, and our expert Shipping team can advise you on the best approach depending on your specific needs while also keeping sustainability in mind.
