A single item of furniture or a decorative item to be moved just a few miles. The items making up a carefully compiled collection to be gathered up around the world, brought together and delivered to their new home. In either case, we offer interior designers reliable and efficient packing, moving, storage, shipping, management and insurance of furniture and objects, with the certainty of safe delivery.
We work with designers, architects, auction houses, dealers in fine furnishings and textiles and private home owners and collectors, moving items around the world and, in particular, between the UK, US and mainland Europe.
We maintain our own fleet of fully equipped vehicles, customized especially for the transportation of furniture and decorative objects by road throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. These are manned by security cleared driver/technicians, expertly trained in the handling of valuable furniture and decorative pieces.
We maintain a varied vehicle fleet, enabling us to match the individual needs of each piece or collection. The fleet includes vehicles devoid of all Cadogan Tate branding for use in situations in which discretion is of particular concern.
Each vehicle has a fully lockable, insulated, windowless, rigid-sided freight compartment, which cannot be accessed from the driving cab, and is equipped with high security locks and alarms and mobile communications, as well as satellite tracking to pinpoint its precise location in the UK, Europe and US.
We supply vehicles specific to the requirements of your consignment including heavy-duty tail lifts, air-ride suspension, full temperature control, and a barred and padded cargo area.
Each vehicle is manned by two uniformed technicians, who are both qualified drivers and trained Interior Designer Services handlers, and who will undertake packing, unpacking and installation on site, as required.
Their training and expertise ensure Cadogan Tate’s ability to carry out all expected procedures skilfully and efficiently, and to deal with unusual and unforeseen circumstances promptly and effectively.
Our staff are vetted and cleared with CRB, and subject to credit and 5 year background checks.
Sea freight offers an efficient and cost-effective transport option for moving complete collections for large interiors projects, as well as for moving particularly large or unwieldy individual items of furniture or pieces of sculpture. Sea freight is appropriate when longer transit times are acceptable.
Our expert Interior Designer Services team advises clients on viable container options, depending on the size, weight and nature of the pieces to be transported.
For maximum security and protection, we recommend sole-use sea containers. These afford Cadogan Tate complete control over the loading and securing of the consignment at the point of origin, ensuring also that it is unloaded only at its final destination. Where required or requested, temperature controlled containers are available.
We are able to provide full port supervision of consignments throughout their journey, where this is required.
We maintain strong working relationships with leading international shipping agents, enabling us to advise on the most cost-effective and time-efficient routing options to your destination.
