2014 relocation over three weekends of a 300 person London law firm, complete with office content and selected furniture, and the decommission and recommission of IT, from 6 floors of a West End building to its new prestigious new City offices.
One of the laws of relocation has to be ‘prepare for any eventuality’. In 2014 Cadogan Tate was appointed to carry out the relocation of around 300 Staff of a prestigious law firm from Chiltern Street to 25 Farringdon Street in March 2014.
Planning made things perfect. The relocation project consisted of moving all staff, contents, IT and selected furniture from various departments across sixfloors of Chiltern Street into various floors within Farringdon Street across three consecutive weekends. This way, it was calculated, the least impact would be felt by the business and there would be less traffic and people on the streets.
Full Decom/Recom of desktop IT equipment was included within this project and the relocation was successfully carried out within schedule and budget.
