There are a variety of methods for getting your possessions to your new home. See which one suits your needs - or call us if you would like our advice on choosing the best method for your international relocation.
We deliver a metal container to your house and then pack it with your belongings. It will then be sealed and shipped to the port nearest your new home before clearing customs and being delivered to your new home. The advantage of this is it takes less time than other shipping methods because your container is not being shared with anyone. It is recommended for people moving the contents of a 3 bedroom house or larger.
This is similar to the above method except your items are wrapped and overcased, sharing space in a container with other customers’ possessions going to the same destination. Therefore, it can take a little longer before the container is ready to set sail. This method is sometimes better for customers with less than a full house to move.
The benefit of air freight is that it is much faster than moving by sea. It can also be more expensive and is charged by volume and weight. Many international movers opt for a mix of moving by air and sea. This way you can have all your ‘can not do without’ items sent by air, so they arrive quicker while larger, less important items can be transported by sea.
