Below you will find some client scenarios to illustrate the type of people and organisations who benefit from choosing Cadogan Tate Worldwide.
The Family
The Phillips have decided to emigrate to Australia. They have a large family home in the Cotswolds, a pet Labrador and a three year old BMW. The customs regulations, transit time and overall costs are issues of concern.
They contacted Cadogan Tate and we arranged a personal site visit and provided a full advisory service at no cost. The result was a fixed price quotation which enabled the family to budget for the cost with confidence and make firm plans about the likely move date.
They also decided to sell the car rather than move it, on our advice about the costs and hassle. They didn't realise it but the car did not comply with the local emission control standards.
The Human Resources Manager
Jane is the HR manager at a firm of consultants based in London but with offices in New York and Singapore. The Singapore office requires the expertise of a senior manager for 9 months, so Jane contacted Cadogan Tate Worldwide as she had heard about them from a colleague.
After assessing the requirements it was clear to us that time was of the essence and the Singapore office needed to have the expertise of one of their senior manager's from the New York office, as a matter of urgency. We arranged with our local trading partner in New York to have a selection of professional papers, clothing and personal effects airfreighted to Singapore.
The cost of airfreight, although higher than the cost of seafreight, meant that the goods were available in Singapore within 10 days. This reduced the overall cost appreciably as the fast transit time saved the company on hotel expenses in Singapore and the manager was available to commence work much sooner.
The company also saved money on transport costs as they decided to provide a furnished rental apartment to the manager based upon our advice about the availability of good quality accommodation at reasonable cost in Singapore.
The Relocation Agent
Peter is the owner/manager of a small relocation agency moving upwards of 40 business people each year mainly from London to Dubai. He is charged by his clients to arrange the kind of logistical support that Cadogan Tate Worldwide provides. Peter noticed that levels of service were dropping and costs were increasing in the shortlist of moving companies he was using. We visited and assessed his requirements.
This needs assessment combined with the requirement to contain costs resulted in us providing a service level agreement and a set of performance standards against which customer expectations and suppliers' performance could be measured. The second part of our proposal was a cost savings programme designed to reduce overall costs but this required Peter to make a volume commitment to Cadogan Tate which enabled us to obtain preferential rates from our trading partner in Dubai and from the freight carrier.
Our feedback reports enabled Peter to monitor service levels and the deferred rebate scheme resulted in an overall reduction in costs at year end. In order to achieve the cost savings it was necessary for Peter to reduce the number of service providers, but as the service agreement and performance standards highlighted adverse service from some of the existing providers this was a cost effective decision.
