Our School

We believe that people are our most valuable resource. That is why we have invested in our own dedicated training centre, where our moving and storage teams learn and master their skills. This means that they can practice on our furniture, not yours!

Our teams are regularly expected to move priceless works of art, antiques and artefacts as well as household items of huge sentimental value. Packing, unpacking and moving items quickly and efficiently without risking damage also takes great skill and plenty of practice.

We train our staff to handle all types of items - from fragile china through to clothing - and we make sure that they understand the most suitable packing method for each. For example, we explain why silverware requires acid-free paper to prevent it from becoming tarnished.

Our personnel are also trained in handling more complicated and fragile items (such as packing chandeliers in bespoke crates) to ensure that they arrive as they were packed or can be stored without fear of damage. As well as these finer details, our staff are trained to plan every element of packing and moving to ensure that every stage of our customers’ moves is perfectly prepared.

None of our employees can be promoted or receive a pay increase unless they have been trained and qualified in the skills needed to move up to the next "rung of the career ladder".
