Green Credentials Statement

Preservation of the natural environment is a key issue for everyone today. This is evident in the choices we make about the way we live, the products we buy, and the services we choose.

At Cadogan Tate we understand that packing, moving and storing prized possessions inevitably impacts on the environment and as a responsible company take an innovative approach to reducing this impact and strive to make continuous improvements in our performance, providing our customers with a service that is genuinely environmentally responsible.

Our packing materials and cartons are made from recycled and recyclable wood pulp from sustainable forests and our wooden storage containers and packing cases are from timber from certified sustainable forests, complying with stringent international standards. We are currently working on an entire range of re-usable packing cases and liners.

Our vehicles are low-noise and low-emission. Most have particulate traps or Euro 5 engines, almost totally eliminating harmful particulates which contribute to childhood asthma and heart attacks in the aged. We use low-sulphur diesel which reduces our contribution to acid rain. All our vehicles operating in London comply with the Low Emission Zone regulations. We are gradually switching our smaller vans from diesel to electric, clean burn LPG or Euro 6 diesel/electric hybrid. All new company cars are electric, hybrid or LPG. We also own and operate the only fully electric 12.5 tonne removals truck in the world!

Our buildings are energy efficient and none of our office technology stays on standby when it's not being used. Even the paper on which we bill you is recycled!

We encourage customers to make an environmentally friendly choice of packing materials by rewarding those who choose pre-used packing cartons with discounted prices.

Our commitment to the environment is also underwritten by our achievement of ISO 14001. As holders of this and other ISO, European and British quality and service standards, companies within our Group are regularly monitored and audited in their progress towards fulfilling our environmental objectives which all have a direct and positive effect on reducing the impact our activities have on the natural environment and shrinking our carbon footprint.
